Eveard, who has worked for the Postal Service since 1963, was
surprised when Orlando Channel 6 Reporter Matt Austin (front, center) presented her
with the TV station’s “Getting Results Award” for providing exceptional service
to her customers for more than 50 years. Alice was nominated by one of her
customers and was humbled by the recognition.
Austin (right) interviewed Eveard
and touched on how she became a letter carrier, her family life and why
she continues to work at 80 years young. The segment featuring
Eveard will air on the TV station next week.
Eveard posed with her two
plaques. After the presentation everyone enjoyed refreshments and congratulated
Alice on her awards.
