Bonita Springs Recognizes A Hero



Bonita Springs Postmaster Cindi Debrino (at podium) had the honor of making the presentation speech and presenting a framed plaque to Medal of Honor Recipient Dakota Myer (front, second, right) at the Veterans Day Service held at Riverside Park in Bonita Springs.



Bonita Springs Postmaster Cindi Debrino (center) and Retail Associate and Commander of the Bonita Springs American Legion Adam Prentki (left), presented Medal of Honor Recipient Dakota Myer (right) with a Postal Service framed Medal of Honor plaque consisting of three different stamp designs, one for each version of the Medal of Honor. Marine Corps Corporal Daytona Meyer received the Medal of Honor for his unwavering courage and steadfast devotion to his U.S. and Afghan comrades in the face of almost certain death.  He upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service. 




Bonita Springs Supervisor, Customer Services Anne Dunstan (center) and Lead Retail Associate Terri Oman (left) assisted a customer purchasing items at the event.  “I have to say it was the most memorable day in my over 30 years with the Postal Service.  I was humbled and so proud to be an American,” said Debrino.
