Winter
Park Letter Carrier Jason Claudio submitted a Customer Connect revenue lead for
a compounding pharmacy with sites nationwide. Business Development Specialist
Patricia Perri and USPS Sales Executive Sue Pecor followed up with the customer
and learned the company was using one of our competitors for their
shipments. The owner stated the
competitors’ costs were very high and were making his company's profits very slim. Pecor offered an analysis for USPS shipping
costs, packaging and transit times for Priority and First-Class parcels. The owner was impressed with the Postal Service's customer
service statistics and costs. He stated
he could hire another employee with the savings he would receive by using the
Postal Service.
Pecor
worked with Winter Park Postmaster Victor Lopez to schedule daily package
pick-ups. Letter Carrier Claudio did a
couple of trial runs before the afternoon collection was put in place. With new software and packaging in place, the
company became a ‘prescribed’ user of USPS services. Claudio’s lead and the Suncoast
team’s efforts resulted in $290,000 of Priority and First-Class revenue.
