Suncoast
Diversity Committee members (above) met in
January for their monthly meeting with two projects on the agenda. First,
was the mail-out of this year’s Combined Federal
Campaign (CFC) donor thank you gifts, and second was preparation of application
kits for the National Marrow Foundation’s “Be-The-Match” Registry. The committee has supported the foundation
for the past several years, locally adding 118 new registrants in 2015 and off
to a good start with 36 registrants for FY16.
The Postal Service has been a valued partner with the Foundation since
1997. The rich diversity USPS employees bring to the table is a great
benefit since finding the best match is not always a close relative, but rather
someone with similar race and ethnic background.
