25 Tampa Letter Carriers were recognized for achieving the Million Mile Safe Driver’s Award, the National Safety Council’s highest award for safe driving. Ybor City Post Office hosted the event, where the Letter Carriers received their Million Mile Driver Award plaque and Safe Driver Lapel Pin while family and co-workers applauded.
District Manager Eric Chavez (below, right), Human Resources Manager Judy Farrell (not pictured) and Safety Manager Ellen Wholey (not pictured) were on hand to congratulate each of the recipients for their outstanding achievement.
They were taken by surprise when District Manager Eric
Chavez (right) announced that they would all receive $500. “By preventing accidents, you have saved the
organization money. You deserve to be rewarded,”
Chavez said.
