Edgewater Ready For Food Drive

Edgewater Letter Carriers (left to right) John Snider, Mark Smith, Tina Sullivan and Steve Martin prepare for the national Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive by placing a hamper in the lobby of the Post Office for food donations from customers. This is the 24th year for the Food Drive and Smith has worked with the Food Drive since it began.

The nationwide Food Drive takes place on Saturday, May 14.  As letter carriers deliver mail, they will pick up non-perishable food donations left at customers’ mailboxes.  The food will be collected and delivered to local food banks.  Employees can participate by leaving food at their mailboxes, or by placing food in bins at Post Offices.

By supporting this year’s Food Drive, Suncoast employees can once again make a huge difference for those who depend on local food banks to feed their families.
