Joe Has One Half Century

District Manager Eric Chavez (right), Manager, Post Office Operations Bill Bishoff (left) and Venice Postmaster Kevin Sullivan (second, left) gathered to celebrate Venice Carrier Annex Letter Carrier Joseph Cappiello’s (second, right) 50 years of service.

Venice Carrier Annex Letter Carrier Joseph Cappiello (right) received his 50-year Service Award and pin from District Manager Eric Chavez (right).

After serving two years in the United States Army, Cappiello started his postal career as a Letter Carrier in January 1968 in Levittown, PA, where he worked for the next 17 years. In 1985 he moved his family to Venice where he has worked as a Letter Carrier in all three Venice offices. He started at the Venice Main Office as a Carrier Technician, went to North Port Station, and has been on the same route at the Venice Carrier Annex for the last 8 years. Cappiello has no immediate plans to retire, but doesn’t see himself working much longer.

Congratulations, Joe!
