John Saves The Day

Clearwater Main Letter Carrier John Wood (above) noticed a change of address (COA) for a customer that had lived on his route for over 20 years. John was suspicious of the change and asked the customer why he had submitted a COA. The customer, in fact, had not submitted the change. Alarmed, the customer contacted his bank and realized that a thief had already gotten into his checking account, opened three new credit cards and had new checks mailed to him. Postal Inspectors were immediately notified and the customer’s identity and personal finances were restored.

Thank you, John, for going the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service!
