College Park Station had a visit from elementary school students (above) City Carrier Assistant (CCA) Liz Robles (right) gave out
stickers and Postal Support Employee (PSE) Nicole
Stuart (behind door) sold single stamps to the children to place on letters they had written.
Each
student canceled the stamp on their letter with a date stamp and placed the
letter in a bin to be mailed (above). After the
children cancelled their stamps, they had a
chance to scan a parcel on the PASS machine.
College Park Letter Carrier Jay James (center) explained his job as a Letter Carrier.
The
class had an up close view of the new Promaster van. Retail Associate Josh Lima
(second, left), CCA Liz Robles (center) and Letter Carrier Rosalina Brau
(right) assisted with the tour. The children learned about the Post Office and
the employees had fun showcasing the Postal Service.
