Letter Carrier Mark Smith (second, left) was presented with his Retirement
Certificate and an Ohio State University (OSU) Buckeyes Helmet by Manager Post
Office Operations Janice Walters, Postmaster Roberta Stevens-Simmons (second,
right) and Supervisor, Customer Services Cameron Wood (right). The OSU helmet was
signed with farewell messages from the Edgewater Team.
Rural
Carrier Debbie Varney (right) made a special retirement cake (above) for Smith
that was enjoyed by all employees.
The
Edgewater Team enjoyed a holiday feast, coupled with Smith’s retirement
celebration. Smith retired with 26 years
of service. He is the National
Association of Letters Carriers (NALC) President Branch 5951 and will continue
to serve in his NALC role in retirement.
