News Media On The Scene


The Postal Service expects to process and deliver more than 16 billion cards, letters and packages during the holiday season.  Employees are the key to a successful holiday season and the news media is covering the great things the Postal Service is doing for our customers.


Ybor City Processing & Distribution Center (P&DC) Manager Distribution Operations Dan Fisher (left) gets a microphone adjustment from a local TV crew member prior to his interview.  Fisher discussed the increased holiday mail volume and explained how employees are geared up to process the mail quickly to make the holidays special for our customers. 


Tampa Customer Relations Coordinator Tracie Finley (above) provided the news station with information regarding mailing deadlines, expected mail volumes, tips on preparing packages for mailing and extended retail hours.


Seminole Processing & Distribution Center (P&DC) A/Manager Alicia “Lisa” Lake (left) spoke with a TV videographer and explained how each machine operates and the mail flow from one machine to the next. The videographer was amazed to see the scope and size of the operation and how efficiently employees were handling the volume.


Lehigh Acres Rural Carrier Jose Martinez (left) appeared on Spanish language TV to discuss mailing deadlines and the many customer conveniences available during the holiday season.
