James Retires

Immokalee Rural Carrier James W. Wryals (left) received his Retirement Certificate from Postmaster Wendy Reed (right). Wryals retired after 37 years of service at the Immokalee Post Office. Reed praised Wryals for “always going above and beyond.”

Immokalee Rural Carrier James W. Wryals (in front of camera) was spotlighted by several media outlets that followed him along his route during the holiday season. Wryals drove 86 to 110 miles per day on his rural route.  Because of his customers’ distance from the Post Office, Wryals says he wanted to make certain to help customers avoid traveling to the Post Office. “A lot of them live so far out of town, I try to get their packages to them, make sure they don’t have to come in,” he said.  After retirement, Wryals plans on devoting more time to his ministry.

Congratulations, James!
