Spring Hill Rural Carrier
Kristin Brown (right) assisted a disabled Vietnam Veteran, who is a customer on
her route (left), after he informed her
that his mailbox was knocked down and his disability prevented him from fixing
it. Brown explained the situation to
Custodian Gerard Laing, Sr. (center), who took it upon himself to install the
mailbox for the customer while off duty. Gerard stated, “It's one veteran helping
another veteran.” The customer was very grateful and stated no one had ever
been so nice to him.
