National Association of Letter
Carriers (NALC) and Second Harvest volunteers (above) worked April 29 to
separate and distribute food drive cards to Central Florida Post Offices. Winter
Park Letter Carrier Johnny Palacious (right) photographed the volunteers as
they broke down pallets of cards and labeled the trays.
Volunteers (above) placed
trays into GPMCs destined for 321, 328, 347 and 327 areas.
NALC Food Drive Coordinator
Shane Ulbin (right) and Customer Relations Coordinator Deborah Vick (back row,
orange shirt) thanked Letter Carriers, Second Harvest and the University of Central Florida Rowing Team for
volunteering their time to support the food drive.
This is the 25th
Anniversary of the Letter Carriers Food Drive.
On Saturday, May 13, as letter carriers
nationwide deliver mail, they will collect non-perishable food left by
mailboxes. The food will go to local food banks.
