District Manager Eric Chavez always

believes in engaging and empowering employees while encouraging
self-development for each individual to be successful in their chosen careers.
To help all employees take full advantage of career opportunities, Chavez
has selected instructors who are Subject Matter Experts in their respective
fields to share their postal experience and expertise at this year’s Career
Conference: “Cultivate Your
Potential…your future is unwritten.”
The three day off-the-clock Career
Conference begins Friday, August 11 and concludes Sunday, August 13,
2017. This enrichment event will be held at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena
Vista, 4955 Kyngs Heath Rd, Kissimmee FL, 34746. Hotel rooms are offered at
discounted rates ($119.00).
Friday will include workshops
for all registered participants and will be the start of making connections
with Suncoast District Leadership Team Mentors and future career colleagues.
Saturday will be an energetic
day of keynote speakers, workshops, learning experiences and networking
opportunities. A Golf Tournament will be
held at Celebration Golf Club, 701 Golf Park Drive, Celebration FL 34747 (see info
below).
Southern Area Vice President
Shaun E. Mossman, the Suncoast District Leadership Team, as well as representatives
from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Office of the Inspector General
(OIG) will be available to share information about career opportunities. Representatives from Human Resources Shared Services Center (HRSSC) will be on hand to assist with career
planning for retirement. Saturday evening will conclude with a social
event, complete with music and dancing to reenergize for Sunday’s career development
opportunities.
Sunday will continue with
workshops and networking experiences. eCareer one-on-one reviews are available
throughout the weekend.
