School Visits Cocoa

A local school took a field trip to the Cocoa Post Office.  Supervisor, Customer Services Mary Mustipher (right, by wall) round dated the flats the children brought to mail.

Acting Supervisor, Customer Services Corey O’Neill (standing left) explained the process for mail sorting and the job of a Letter Carrier. The enthusiastic children were able to scan packages, place them in the proper gurneys and look inside a postal vehicle. At the end of the tour, Postmaster Millie Bautista-Tirado handed the children goodie bags with crayons and coloring books. The teachers stated “It was the best field trip, in all of our years doing it.”  “We enjoyed mentoring the future employees of the United States Postal Service,” said Mustipher.
