Holiday Rush For The Troops

Eagle Scout Candidate Jayson Weiner (above) arrived at the Seminole Post Office with over 250 Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes during the busiest mailing week of the year.  He made a second trip with another 250 Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes within the week.  The boxes were addressed to U. S. military service men and women who are deployed.  Weiner held local fundraising efforts to pay for the postage.  The Seminole Team pitched in to ensure the packages reached the troops for the holidays.   A total of 565 packages were processed and mailed, bringing in total revenue of over $10,000.

Eagle Scout Candidate Weiner and his volunteers (above) brought in 565 Priority Mail Flat Rate packages for the troops and knew they could depend on Seminole Post Office employees to quickly process the packages.

It took a team effort to process and prepare the avalanche of packages.  Seminole employees from left, Seminole Retail Associate Lirie Selimi, Acting Supervisor Customer Services Jonathan Velez, Custodian-Steven Caverno and Acting Administrative Assistant Andrea Brunger assisted with the mailings to ensure that Eagle Scout Candidate Weiner’s (second, left) packages were processed accurately and swiftly, and sent on their way to provide holiday cheer for U. S. troops.

Way to go Seminole Team!
