Ybor City Processing
& Distribution Center (P&DC) General Expeditor Darius Mack (left)
received his 40-year Service Award from District Manager Eric Chavez (right). Mack
began his postal career as a Letter Sorter Machine (LSM) Operator at the Church
Street Post Office in lower Manhattan. In 1983, the Church Street Post Office
moved all employees to the Midtown Main Post Office which later became the
Morgan P&DC. In 2005 Mack transferred to the Tampa P&DC and in
2016 transferred to his current position at the Ybor City P&DC.
Joining Mack (second
right) and Chavez (right) for the plaque presentation during the celebratory
event with coworkers were Mack’s wife, Adriane (center) along with (left to
right) his son Darius, Jr. and daughter, Juanita.
