West Melbourne Manager
Customer Services Karen Dykes (front right) presented Letter Carrier Michael
Clark (front center) with a “thank you” card from District Manager Eric Chavez
and recognized him for submitting a Customer Connect lead that resulted in
$6,048 in new revenue for the Postal Service.
Clark’s coworkers (above) joined in to celebrate.
Clark, who is a NALC
union representative and the Customer Connect Coordinator for the West
Melbourne Branch, placed a feature article about the Employee Engagement
Program Customer Connect in the NALC newsletter. He was contacted by a retired Merritt Island
letter carrier who had read the article.
He informed Clark that his stepdaughter had a home based business and
was using a competitor for her mailing and shipping needs. Clark collected the
information and submitted a Customer Connect lead, resulting in this successful
revenue sale. “This customer’s business is expected to grow and generate even more
revenue for the Postal Service,” said Acting Business Development Specialist
Gitana O’Bryan (not pictured).
Congratulations and thanks for bringing in revenue, Mike!
