Golfing Great Arnold Palmer Honored In Orlando

Professional golfer Arnold Palmer (1929-2016) is regarded as one of the greatest players in sport’s history, having racked up 62 PGA Tournament wins, including one U.S. Open and two British Opens during his stellar career.

The Suncoast District had the privilege of honoring the golf legend with the new Arnold Palmer Forever Stamp during a March 4 unveiling at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando. The event was held in conjunction with the 42nd annual Arnold Palmer Invitational sponsored by Master Card.

Roman Martinez IV (third right), a member of the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors, spoke about Palmer’s life, not just as a great golfer but as a successful businessman, philanthropist and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Martinez was joined at the event by Palmer’s daughter, Amy Saunders (left) PGA Tour pro and Palmer’s grandson Sam Saunders (second right) and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (right).

“The preparation for this event was outstanding. I appreciate all the hard work of our Orlando Retail Associates”, stated Customer Relations Coordinator (CRC) Deborah Ferencak (far left).
