All in a Days Work for College Park Employees

Every day, our dedicated workforce of 644,000 employees serve every American community through rain, sleet and snow. But it’s mostly sunshine in Florida’s Suncoast District where employees at Orlando’s College Park Station do their part to provide universal service.

CCA Ana Batista prepares her parcels for delivery in the College Park neighborhood, located just outside of downtown Orlando. Batista is coming up on her first-year anniversary as a postal employee. “I love being a carrier,” she said. “The Postal Service is a great place to work and affords employees many opportunities.”

CCA McHugh Mattis loads his mail truck in preparation for his daily deliveries. Mattis, who has Bachelors’ degrees in Criminology and Social Work, played professional basketball internationally for 10 years before becoming a postal employee. “I enjoy the experience of making customers happy when I deliver their mail,” he said.

Clerk Ebonnie Williams works on Return to Sender mail. “After 32 years with the Postal Service, I still love my job,” said Williams.

Supervisor, Customer Services Sonny Lind, who’s been a USPS employee for eight years, hangs an ODIS test notification on the employee timeclock. The test is a morning count of mail, letters and flats, that enter the 32804 zone for data collection purposes.

Thank you, Ana, McHugh, Ebonnie and Sonny!
