St. Petersburg Main Office Letter Carrier Rachel
Hodges, a 15-year postal veteran, loves everything about her job, especially
her customers. "They are what bring me to work every day," she said.
She has worked throughout the pandemic and says it feels good that USPS can
continue providing service to its customers. "They depend on us to deliver
online purchases, and I'm not about to let them down," she added. Hodges
doesn't particularly like being standoffish with her customers, who usually come
out to greet her when she delivers the mail. But she must remain resolute and
social distance to keep herself and her customers safe. She always takes
precautions. "I wear my mask, wash my hands, and wash everything down in
my vehicle. I don't even wait for the custodians. I do it myself."
