presented St. Petersburg Bulk Mail Entry Technician Tawnya Burge (right) with
her Retirement Certificate, after 39 years of service.
In 1977, Tawnya began her career with the Postal Service at
the St. Petersburg Plant. She always
aspired to be the clerk with the most seniority. She is retiring as the #1 clerk on the
Seniority List in the City of St. Petersburg.
Tawnya is a NASCAR enthusiast. This season Tawnya and her husband, Don, attended
their 45th Daytona 500 race!
Tawnya’s retirement plans include: going to Tampa Bay Rays
baseball games, traveling with her husband and caring for her one year old
Grand Daughter, Harper, two days a week.
Tawnya stated, “I just can’t believe that I am really retiring. Time has just flown by and I am going to miss
so many people whom I have worked with.”
