Salute To Veterans


Recognition events were held throughout the Suncoast District to honor and salute employees for their service in the U. S. Armed Forces.  Veterans received recognition letters from Postmaster General (PMG) Megan Brennan. Below are some of the events around the district, which included presentations of Letters of Appreciation and pins, as well as refreshments and peer recognition.


Mid Florida P&DC VMF military veterans were celebrated and presented with Letters of Appreciation and pins.


Hudson Postmaster Brian Strasser (right) led the applause by fellow employees to thank Hudson veterans for their military service.


Port Richey Carrier Annex veterans were thanked for their military service by Supervisor, Customer Services Melody Grantham ( center ), who is also a veteran.


Port Richey Embassy Crossing Marine Veteran Dave Ruffner (left) and Army Veteran Dan Lantier (right) proudly displayed their PMG letters and pins presented by Manager Customer Services Christina Walker (center).


Mulberry Rural Carrier Kevin Abell (left) and Letter Carrier Bernard Williams (right) were honored for their military service.


Orange City veterans were honored in front of their peers and received specially decorated red, white and blue treats.


Melbourne Main Office veterans gathered for a photo during their breakfast recognition event.


Venice Main Office veterans posed for a photo after receiving their recognition letters and pins.


Palm Bay veterans were honored and thanked for their service.
