Produce Letter Carrier Elvin Rodriguez (left) spoke with first and third grade
students about being a Letter Carrier and gave tours of the Long Life Vehicle
(LLV) to the captivated children.
Rodriguez and A/Manager, Customer Services Lesli Knight (not pictured) participated
in the Great American Teach In at a local elementary school. “We did three
presentations that included historical facts about the Postal Service as well
as current jobs available. Emphasis was made on careers available to the
children if they work hard and stay in school,” said Knight. “The tour of
the LLV was the highlight of the presentation for the children. Elvin did
an outstanding job. He brought a positive light on the United States
Postal Service.”
