Suncoast In National Spotlight

The Suncoast District was selected as the featured location for a national USPS Headquarters video about the 25th anniversary of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. The Central Florida Area was chosen because they collected the most food in the nation last year.  Orlando Lee Vista Letter Carrier Helen Krug (above) picked up food donations on her route while being filmed.

Orlando Lee Vista Letter Carrier and NALC Shop Steward Branch 1091 Joshua K. Cruz Sr. (above) placed donated food on the shelves of his Promaster van.

Orlando Lee Vista Letter Carrier Rena McVey (above) was filmed carrying tubs of food, left at her mailroom, into her postal van.

Orlando Azalea Park Letter Carrier Raymond Negron (above) was delighted to collect donated food that will go to local food banks to feed customers in our community.

Orlando Tractor Trailer Operator Rajpaul Arjune (above) pushed a wire full of donated food to be transported to the Orlando Plant.

Winter Park City Carrier Assistant Nelitza Medina (above) unloaded her Long Life Vehicle (LLV).  Volunteers sorted the food into three categories: cans, dry and glass or plastic.

Winter Park A/Supervisor, Customer Services Marc Price (right) and Letter Carrier and NALC Steward Johnny Palacious (left) worked together to separate food to go to Second Harvest Food Bank for distribution throughout Central Florida.

Thank you to everyone who assisted in the Food Drive.
