July 1 is celebrated by
many as National Postal Workers Day. It
can be traced back to 1997, when a former postal employee in the Seattle District
thought of the idea of having a day to recognize postal workers.
Although the employee’s
idea did not go through the process to become an official day of recognition, it
is an opportunity to thank Postal Service employees for their dedication and
commitment to the Postal Service.
