Diane Tindle (standing far right) highlighted the Sally Ride Forever stamp
during a stamp dedication event at the Sally Ride Elementary School dedication
ceremony. Tindle spoke about Ride, America’s first woman in space, who inspired
the nation as a pioneering astronaut, brilliant physicist, and dedicated
educator. At the conclusion of her speech, an enlarged Sally Ride Forever stamp
(left) was dedicated to the school.
Tindle (above center) took part in the ribbon cutting at the official dedication of the new Sally Ride Elementary School, while the thrilled crowd of children, parents and Sally Ride fans looked on.
