Cape Coral Letter Carrier Fred Brown (left) was presented the
National Safety Council’s Million Mile Safe Driver Award from Fort Myers
Postmaster Nefty Pluguez (right). Mr. Brown received the prestigious award for
driving over 1,000,000 miles without an at fault accident. The ceremony was
held outside to achieve social distancing in this large office. As Pluguez
handed the award to Mr. Brown he commented, “This is a very important award for
me to give out. It means that Fred is taking his safety very seriously”.
After the award ceremony in front of his co-workers, Fred shared
in his success with a cake (above).
