Euclid Station Trains For Dog Bite Safety

St. Petersburg Euclid Station Safety Captain Nick Ehas (second, left) and Letter Carrier Terry Miller (second, right) demonstrate in front of their co-workers how to protect themselves during a dog bite awareness safety exercise.  Postmaster Jackie Villemaire (left) and National Association of Letter Carriers Branch #1477 President Joe Henschen (right) look on.

National Dog Bite Awareness Week focuses on safety around dogs for all those who interact with them. Even though dogs are our best friends, it doesn’t mean they can’t or won’t bite when put into a situation that makes them uncomfortable. As dog lovers, it’s up to us to learn how to keep them and us safe.

Thank you, Nick and Terry, for taking the lead in teaching employees how to remain safe on their route.
