USPS Connect Debuts in Orlando

Sixteen Orlando Post Offices recently launched USPS Connect Local – a new way for businesses to reach local customers affordably and quickly with same-day and next-day package and mail delivery service. The new service, part of the Delivering for America plan, will eventually be offered nationwide.

“The way it works is simple,” said Orlando Postmaster Diane Tindle. “Sign up for a free usps.com business account; process your orders for same-day or next-day delivery; use Click-N-Ship to print shipping labels and pay for postage; drop off your packages at the Postal facility in the delivery ZIP Code area. Your packages will go out for local delivery with our letter carriers, and you will receive a delivery confirmation on a package once its delivered."

Tindle held a media kickoff and ribbon cutting at Alafaya Carrier Annex to celebrate the new service.
