In 2018, TikTok took the social media scene by storm. With
over 1 billion active monthly users today, the popular app – centered around
short videos – is fun, entertaining, and addictive.
Haines City, FL,
Rural Carrier Tomiko Bennett, who is also a musician and singer, recently
started her own TikTok account.
“My son and I
were posting things on Facebook, but after watching some of the creative and
entertaining videos on TikTok, I decided to join the app in order to share my
own content,” said Bennett, who’s worked at USPS since March 2015.
Tomiko’s latest video, which features her singing “God Bless America” and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” is
a shout-out to the United States Postal Service military veterans.
“I wanted to show my appreciation for our veterans because I feel like they don’t get enough recognition,” she said. “They sacrifice so much to protect our country, so I wanted to do a dedication to let them know we love them and thank them so much for their service.”
