Diversity Day Celebration

Rural Carrier Priya Vera Jethu dons traditional attire from her native country of Suriname.

Lehigh Acres, FL, Post Office held a Diversity Day event to give employees the opportunity to familiarize themselves with cultures and traditions of other countries.

Employees participated by bringing a traditional food dish representative of their country of origin and by wearing customary clothing. Others celebrated by creating colorful signs, featuring quotations from famous people and adorned with flags from other nations.

Diversity is the one thing we all have in common. We should celebrate it every day.
